Creative Clips for Girls Review

Today I would like to introduce you to Creative Clips, owned by Colleen Connon from Arizona, a mom of two who creates stylish non-slip clips for little girls!

These clips feature a strip of Velcro that helps them to stay in place in all types of hair - even thin, fine hair like my daughter, Emma. I've been waiting for a year (since she was born, lol) for her hair to thicken so that I can put it in pigtails... having these cute clips to jazz things up really helps with the waiting game. It's good to know that they can be used as her hair grows, too. :-)

Handmade Baby Gifts by KGsKreations - Giveaway!

I found the blanket to be well-made and the perfect addition to our monkey collection. I think the photos pretty much speak for themselves - who doesn't love adorable designs and ribbon loopies?

Since I received this blanket, all items resembling "taggies" have been taken off of Etsy (apparently anyone who sews ribbon between two squares of fabric is violating a patent from Taggie), but Kristy still makes her "Ribbon Loopies" and would be happy to accept custom orders for them. If you would like to see a gallery of what she has available, just send her a note! She's very friendly and easy to work with.

Walking Buddies, Bon-Bons, and Excuses Excuses! (Fitness Friday)

It's been WAY TOO LONG since I've posted a Fitness Friday post. I have to admit that every Friday I at least start on one, but either I get distracted (one-year-olds are concentration-destroyers, let me tell you!) or can't decide what to write about. Because, let me tell you. I haven't been on my Wii Fit in about a month! Not that I haven't thought about getting going again, or planned on it. It just hasn't happened.

I don't want you to think that I've been sitting around on my couch, watching LOST (oh how sad that I have to WAIT to see more!), and eating bon-bons. I haven't. Much. ;-) As soon as the weather started getting warm again I started moving all my exercise outside - I just can't help it, I love being outside! I've been walking my daughter in her jogging stroller, and even done some jogging. And just this last week I found a walking partner (my next door neighbor, whattya know!) and we've been walking an hour every morning. Not slow walking either, serious walking. We gab so much that that hour just flies by! It's awesome. If you guys can get a friend to exercise with you, it helps SO much with motivation and helping the time to pass. We walked every single morning this week, something that I definitely haven't done when walking myself. There are so many excuses, don't ya know. Gotta rest up from the day before. Gotta catch up on blogging. I waited until it was too late to get the baby ready. I'd rather watch TV. Or do my nails. Or ... well, you get the picture. ;-) But when you know someone is waiting for you and that you have to tell them you're wimping out and why (and you'd better have a GOOD excuse), it's a whole different story!

I've definitely noticed an increase in my energy and maybe even my pants fitting better. I have to keep this up.

Baby Banz Toddler Sun Hat and Sunglasses Review

Summer is here! And with all the delights and fun-filled days at the park comes the challenge of keeping your little one safe from the sun. The last thing I want my one-year-old to have to deal with is a sunburn, so as soon as the weather started turning warm I started looking for ways to keep the sun off of her fair skin.

This is where Baby Banz came in. Started by one Australian who couldn't find a good option for his infant son when it came to sunglasses, Baby Banz has a wide selection of 100% UV protectant sunglasses and other sun protection products for babies, toddlers, and children.

We received a pair of toddler sunglasses to review from Baby Banz and I really like them, especially the fact that they stay on with a flexible, adjustable band around my daughter's head. I don't have a photo of them yet, but I will be posting one in the future. Until then, here's how the sun hat that came with the sunglasses fit:

Before receiving this sun hat from Baby Banz, I had already purchased two sun hats for my daughter (from Target). Neither of them fit well, despite being "one size fits all". And I found both of them in the baby section. Saggy with chin straps that were way too huge, they didn't fit well at all. Baby Banz sun hats don't have chin straps, but they do have adjustable elastic velcro strap above the brim so you can be sure it fits the head snugly. I love the floppy brim (not too floppy!) and adorable floral design - I love this super cute hat and will definitely want the next size up (for ages 2-5) when she grows out of it. Oh, and another very cool feature? It has a UV protection rating of 50+. Can't beat it for cuteness and usefulness!

I would recommend Baby Banz to anyone after having such a positive experience with their products - and just look at how cute my daughter is in that sun hat. :-)
