I've been crocheting lately and having a blast with it! I was inspired by DolphinDoodles Etsy Shop's adorable $10 hats and decided to search around for a free pattern online. The challenge was to find a pattern that would work into a nice-looking hat for my daughter. I'm still working on that, actually. I like the pattern I found, but the hats I've made so far have kind of a cone shape... I think I can fix this by making the brim longer and the actually hat part shorter, though. We shall see. ;-) I've only made two so far. Here is the first one, made with a soft, thin yarn:
Boy, hats can be a challenge! lol The first one looked better as far as shape went. Gonna have to give it another go...
So here's the link to the pattern: Cheri Hat by Jennifer Harrell.
This link takes you to Ravelry.com, where you have to sign up for a free account. It's totally worth it, though! There are so many wonderful patterns, both free and for sale. I definitely recommend signing up. :-)

And if you have any trouble with the pattern, let me know! It took me a few tries to figure out what she was telling me to do in the pattern, but I finally figured it out. I think. ;-)
