The Shadowcreek Chronicles by T. Elizabeth Renich? I came across this series of four books when I was a teenager and was completely (I mean COMPLETELY) immersed in this series for the two or three days it took me to read all three. I don't think I came up for air, lol. I can't believe it's so little known, really. It's the kind of book that leaves you thinking about it for months after, you just can't get it out of your head! Now it's been awhile since I've read it - I recently found the series again through Paperbackswap.com and am planning on re-reading them, but I remember quite a bit. It takes place during the Civil War and is about a young girl (on the Southern side) who becomes a spy. This was the beginning of my Civil War phase when I had to read everything I could get my hands on about the Civil War - fiction, nonfiction, diaries... I was there. lol I'll have to move these up my TBR list and re-read them again!So have you read this series and if so, what did you think?
What do you recommend? It can be any book, genre, etc.

I will have to look for these! I was just thinking that I have not had a book to read in weeks and something must be done about this before I die from the devastation of it all. :o)
