Gianna Jessen, Abortion Survivor
Gianna Jessen, Abortion Survivor. She survived a saline abortion (burns baby in the womb, the baby is supposed to be delivered dead) when her biological mother was 7 1/2 months pregnant. This woman is not afraid of what people think of her, not afraid to say that she gives all the glory to Jesus Christ. She has cerebral palsy.
A couple quotes to whet your appetite:
I should be blind, I should be burned, I should be dead.
We have removed our emotions, we are becoming harder. Do you really want that? At the end of the day, is it all about you? Or me?
My life was being snuffed out in the name of women's rights. I would not have Cerebral Palsy had I not survived all of this. So when I hear the appalling, disgusting argument that we should have an abortion because the child just might be disabled - the horror that fills my heart! Ladies and Gentlemen, there are things you will only be able to learn by the weakest. And when you snuff them out, you are the one that suffers. The Lord looks after them. And what arrogance, what absolute arrogance! And it has been an argument for so long in this human place that we live that the stronger should dominant the weak, should determine who lives or dies. Don't you realize that you cannot make your own heart beat? Don't you realize that all the power that you think you possess, you really possess none of it? It is the mercy of God that sustains you. Even when you hate Him.
I am so impressed with this woman's spirit and attitude. I'm pretty sure it would be natural to whine and blame, not declare that her CP is a gift. This is incredibly moving - definitely worth watching! I even watched it twice. :-)

I saw this lady speak in person at a church when I was in college. She was so inspiring. I'll never forget how her words touched me!
